South Side, Here We Come! Choice Is Coming to Wailea Village!
Something fresh is arriving on the South Side. After years of serving the West Maui community and visitors from all over the world, Choice is bringing our signature blend of plant-based goodness, organic ingredients, and aloha vibes to Wailea Village.
If you’ve been searching for a vegan restaurant in Maui, or wondering where to eat lunch in Wailea that’s both delicious and healthy… your answer is almost here.
A New Chapter for Choice in South Maui
The idea of opening in Wailea has been brewing for a while. Over the past few months, our team has been fully immersed in construction mode, covered in paint, drywall dust, and fueled by big dreams!
We just passed some huge milestones:
✔️ Drywall is done
✔️ Equipment has arrived
✔️ Our countertops (yes, those iconic shower tile counters from our OG location) are being recreated
✔️ Cabinets and kitchen setup designed by our artisan friend Max (shoutout to Parlay!)
✔️ Lights are up, and color is on the walls
And of course, the unofficial start of any great food spot: our very first customer attempt. Super Johnny showed up at the door hungry with a crumpled $20, hoping we were open. That moment made it feel real and reminded us exactly why we’re doing this.
Let’s face it — it can be tough to find truly healthy food in Maui, especially on the South Side. That’s why we’re so excited to bring our plant-powered meals, cold-pressed juices, and superfood smoothies to Wailea.
Whether you're heading out for a beach day in Makena, finishing up a yoga class, or just looking for where to eat lunch in Maui that won't weigh you down, Choice Wailea will be the perfect stop.

Cold-pressed juices (and our Detox Juice Cleanse available daily—no preorders needed!)
Plant-based lunches like our famous Tempeh Caesar Wrap, Vegan Benny-Mac Loco Moco, and more
A modern, open space that reflects the island lifestyle—designed with intention and plenty of love
This will be your new go-to vegan & vegetarian restaurant in Maui, where every dish is built with clean, organic ingredients and island-inspired flavor.
The Final Countdown
We’re not quite ready to announce an opening date yet (don’t want to jinx it!), but let’s just say things are moving fast and in the right direction. Over the next couple weeks, we’ll be finishing up plumbing, electrical, signage, and all the final touches.
